ELISABETTA FRANCHI BRINGS MILAN TO THE MIDDLE EAST

The Italian design doyenne makes her first visit to the UAE for the reopening of her Dubai Mall store.

“I don’t follow the trends. But since day one, I have believed in the value of femininity.” declares Elisabetta Franchi, who will soon be gracing our shores for the first time in order to reopen her store in Dubai Mall. But proving you can be both feminine and strong, she explains, “When I began, either you were good or you didn’t get far. This is why I am used to fighting. You must have your goals very clear in your mind and be confident about accomplishing them. There is no room for even the slightest doubt.” The result? A style signature that makes us believe in fairy tales, and is the epitome of modern romance. “Designing collections, running a business, it’s all very hard: you go to work at 8am in the morning and go home at 9pm in the evening. I spend my weekends at work, and everything else takes a backseat. But I love my job, and doing it with passion is the only way I know.”
